Kim Fields, Don Chapman, and Chrissy Coughlin w ere part of the effort that raised over $8,000 for HART (Homeless Animals Rescue Team).   For the fourth year in a row, HART brought a little Las Vegas to Northern Virginia.  The musicians were offered as live auction items and the bid was $250,000 in chips ($250.00 in real dollars). Kim and Beth Cox voluntered at Casino night and had a blast.  Anyone that wants to offer a donation may do so by going to the website

In January, Kim will be traveling back to perform at the Broken Spoke in Nashville.  This is the third time she has been invited to share her songs at the Songwriters' Showcase alongside expert published songwriters for such artists as Allison Kraus, Brooks and Dunn, and many others.

The song Sexx , written by Kim and re-mixed by Bev Stanton of Arthur Loves Plastic , has been chosen to be showcased in an upcoming film entitled Portriats of a Naked Lady Dancer .   The film is being produced by Queen Bee Productions. More news to come!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! - October Skies will be appearing at the 2003 A Taste of DC Festival on the acoustic stage outside the Ronald Regan Building on Columbus Day, October 13th, at 2:30 pm. This is quite a prestigious event and we're extremely proud to be a part of it! Kim has been selected as one of the premiere local talents to perform. They'll be performing cuts from both of her CDs.

Kim and Jeanette have been invited to perform at the S eventh Annual Millennium Conference to be held February 13-16, 2003 in Harrisburg, PA.  Check back soon for show date and time!

Arthur Loves Plastic's remix of Kim's tune On the Edge has been added to the playlist at a radio station in Kentucky.   The Estrogen Nation is a smorgasbord of independent female musicians, which can be heard every Sunday morning on WRFL 88.1 FM in Lexington, KY.  WRFL is a commercial-free radio station on the University of Kentucky campus.

Kim was invited on stage with the house band to play some of her original songs at Jesse Zanes in Nashville . Thank you, Jesse!  Kim will be returning to Nashville to sing at the famous Bluebird Cafe . We will keep you updated.

Kim has been invited to travel to  travel to Monroe, LA next month for a live radio interview and performance. On March 29, Kim will be interviewed on 90.3 KEDM FM's radio program, Lagniappe They will also be playing songs from Kim's solo CD.  Later that night, Kim will perform at Enochs , a popular local pub in Monroe.  Be sure to check back for pictures and details of the trip.

October Skies was invited to be a guest performer on the Fairfax, VA Cable 10 program Communicating Today . The show was taped on February 11.  Air dates are Sunday, February 17 at 3:30 pm , Tuesday, February 19 at 11:30 am , and Wednesday, February 20 at 8:30 pm .

The very talented Bev Stanton from Arthur Loves Plastic has included a re-mix of Kim's song On the Edge on her latest release. It was recorded by October Skies at Recording Arts in Fairfax, VA with producer Marco Delmar .

Kim was invited to be a Showcase Performer at the new Women's Concert Series, Ubervox , which is focused on promoting local female performers in the area. It was so much fun and she met so many wonderful people and talented musicians. This is definitely something to check out!
